What is A Temporary Residence Card?

– Temporary residence card is a valid residence card issued to foreigners with work permits, investors and foreign relatives who are living and working in Vietnam. A type of long-term visa with a term granted by the Immigration Department of Vietnam to foreigners with a minimum duration of 1 year, 2 years, 3 years and 4 years not exceeding 5 years.

Require Document:

Dossier for a foreign employee who has been granted a work permit:

• 01 certified copy of Business License (the remain effective date at least 06 months)
• 01 certified copy of Certificate of legal seal (the remain effective date at least 06 months)
• 01 copy of work permit with a period of 1 year or more
• Photos of size 3×4 ( not wearing glasses, looking straight, white background, photos take not over 6 months)
• Original of Passport and business visa (Valid Visa should be sponsored by current company client working for) – Passport longer minimum period equal to the duration is expected to apply for TRC
• 01 certified copy of Temporary residence letter/ temporary residence book in Vietnam

Dossier for a foreign employee without a work permit:

• 01 certified copy of Business License by the current company you working for (the remain effective date at least 06 months)
• 01 certified copy of Certificate of legal seal (the remain effective date at least 06 months)
• 01 certified copies of papers evidencing no work permit;
• Original of Passport and business visa (Valid Visa should be sponsored by the current company you working for)
• Photos of size 3×4, not wearing glasses, looking straight, white background (Photos take not over 6 months)
• 01 certified copy of Temporary residence letter/ temporary residence book in Vietnam

Dossier for family members of foreign employee:

• Photos of size 3×4  (not wearing glasses, looking straight, white background, photos take not over 6 months)
• Original of Passport and business visa (Valid Visa should be sponsored by the current company you working for)
• 01 certified copy of Temporary residence letter/ temporary residence book in Vietnam
• Copies of proof of purpose for temporary residence confirmation
• Documents showing proof of relationships such as Birth certificate, Marriage Certificate, and Family Register book.
